A Day of Culture
It feels as though summer has arrived here in West Wales, and Sunday was spent mainly outdoors. First up for me, after an early morning walk to the beach, was a gentle run up to the estuary, along the River Leri, around the Animalarium and back through the golf course.
I then chilled in the garden for a bit before Anna and I headed off into Aberystwyth so that she could play her cornet in the Aberystwyth Silver Band for the Mayor’s Parade.

After that, we headed out to Goginan where the band were due to play once again at ‘Proms in the Field’, a fundraising event for the Wales Air Ambulance.
The event was organised by a friend of mine and, this being Aberystwyth, we knew plenty of people there. The sun was shining, it was a lovely day so it turned out to be a nice relaxing way to spend the afternoon. Maybe not quite so relaxing for Anna who had to play in the band, but she looked as though she enjoyed herself.
