Having baked the Christmas cake quite a few weeks ago, it was finally time to start decorating it today. I used a different recipe for the cake this year and had been feeding it with brandy for about 6 weeks. It seemed a little more moist than cakes of previous years but was looking good....
Food Boxes We’ve been doing well with our boxes of food this year. Well, that was a nice quick turn around – I should be back on the water in my surf ski now. After further inspection, the crack in my surf ski didn’t seem quite as bad as it first looked. It was only superficial damage to the gel coat, but I thought I’d get it checked...
It doesn’t feel as though we’ve even started Winter yet. Regardless, there are already signs of Spring in the garden with Daffodil shoots, Periwinkle flowers, flower buds on the Hellebore and even some rhubarb shoots breaking through the soil. It’s not looking very Spring-like out over the sea this morning though.
