‘Baldly’ Scrambling on Tryfan

The photos I posted with my last blog post about our scramble on Tryfan and Bristly Ridge earlier in the week were the ones that I took. They were therefore mainly of the scenery and of Rhys. Rhys has now sent me the ones he took which are also of the scenery, but also of me. Maybe we should swap cameras at the beginning of such exploits so that we end up with photos of ourselves on our phones!

Anyway, I’m not sure I like these photos as they are either shots of my backside from below, or shots of what looks like a bald spot from above. Flattering hey!!! I guess it means I can split an infinitive in Star Trek fashion and use the wrong adverb in a single sentence by saying: We finally got to ‘baldly’ scramble Bristly Ridge. Maybe I need an Indianan Jones style hat for walking in the hills like Rhys has, or maybe just for daily life!

Oh well, bald spot or not, here they are anyway. Hopefully it gives you an idea of the terrain we were on.
