Fun in the Sun
The school holidays are on their way, but with a sudden change in the weather it was hot and sunny on Monday so we had to make the most of it. After school it was straight to the beach for some fun in the sun.
Fun in the Sun
Let us hope this weather continues for the rest of the school holiday. It’s 9:20am on Tuesday morning as I type this and the temperature at the Borth & Ynyslas Weather Station is already reading 23.9ºC. It’s also a stuffy 27.2ºC in my office. I have a feeling we may hit a new record for the year today. I doubt that we’ll get to the all time record of 33.7ºC recorded on 19th July 2006, but records are made to be broken!
What’s more, Ivor, our katabatic wind seems to be blowing as well… gusting to 30 knots in the estuary at the moment.
Anna is off on a work ‘Away Day’ today as well, walking along the Wales Coast Path from Newquay to Aberaeron. I hope everyone has their sunscreen on. Anna was certainly looking the part!!
Get out there and make the most of the sunshine while it lasts.
26.4ºC at the moment – That’s the hottest so far this year, just beating the 26.3ºC seen on June 6th…. And it’s going to get hotter yet.

It made it to 32.8ºC in the end…. Not a day to be wearing a full hooded bee-suit, wellies and gloves whilst clearing a massive bramble and nettle patch….. HOT HOT HOT. Bees are looking OK though. ðŸ ðŸ ðŸ
Nor was it a day for shifting 2 tonnes of gravel, but that’s what I’ve done.
