A Ceredigion Coastal Swim

A few members of the INTR Tri club went for a gorgeous little swim along the coast yesterday.

We started from North Beach in Aberystwyth in slightly choppy seas and sunny spells. Along with myself there was Graham and Sharon, Amanda and Kim. We swam out towards a buoy in order to avoid the rocks and then headed north along the coast past the imposing cliffs of Constitution Hill.

Everyone was swimming well, albeit at a nice steady pace for me. It was actually quite nice taking it easy in the sunshine and just cruising along and relaxing in the sunshine. We swam past cormorant rock and then on towards Clarach which was actually a lot closer than we expected. It was exactly one mile from Aberystwyth to Clarach so we stopped at the beach and did a couple of swims in and out from the beach before heading off up the hill to Graham and Sharons house for a well earned cup of tea and ‘medals’ in the form of biscuits.
