There are a couple that I’ve been looking at such as the Swimovate PoolMate PRO Computer Sports Watch and the Finis Adult Swimsense. Something to add to my birthday and Christmas wish list maybe? Both contain...

Mac Accounting Software – All Change

I’m having a bit of a dilemma here. I’ve been using MYOB Business Basics for many years as my accounting package of choice on my Mac. I wrote a blog post about it back in April 2006 (Mac Accounting Software) and started using the software soon afterwards. Since then it has been working well and...

More Animation from Morgan

After our Stop Motion attempts with Lego, Morgan has been chomping at the bit to do some more animation. He could do it himself, but likes a bit of help from me so finding time isn’t always easy and setting up a decent storyboard and all the tools and toys needed to do it takes...

Geocaching and Everytrail

It was the first day of the summer holidays today and right on cue the weather was set to take a turn for the worse. It didn’t look as though it would be too bad in the morning though so Morgan and I headed out for a walk. We had a few things to do...

122 million miles on the clock

The Space Shuttle Endeavour touched down after it’s last mission this week with an amazing 122 million miles on its clock. And I thought my car was doing well with 122 thousand miles! Pretty impressive stuff and a shame that it has to come to an end, but hopefully it will pave the way for...

Calorie Counting and Diet Tracking apps on an iPad – Review

Whilst eating a large steak and chips and a sticky toffee pudding with ice cream the other day I got into a conversation with some friends about the amount I eat. Basically they were all pretty amazed by how much I could consume. Now, I’m not fat, I’m around 5’7″ and 70kg which puts me...

Windy Miller!

I’ve just got back from a nice morning windsurf. Nothing too spectacular as my 4.5m sail and little board wasn’t quite big enough so I took some rinsings in the lulls and had one pretty big swim too. On one occasion I had a monster wipeout got rinsed around for a while, held under for...
