Devil’s Bridge

Anna has every other Monday off work at the moment. Nice for her, and nice for us as I don’t officially work on Mondays either so we are able to have a day out locally together whilst avoiding the ‘crowds’. Not that I’m sure Devil’s Bridge would have been ‘crowded’ over the weekend, but it was particularly quiet there on a Monday morning!

I’m not sure I really liked paying £4.75 each to have a stroll down the steps on one side of the waterfalls and then back up the steps on the other side, but that’s what it cost so we did it anyway. It was a nice enough stroll if a little slippery on some of the steps. It was just some fresh air more than anything, a chance to take a few photos and justification for heading into the Hafod Hotel for lunch.

Lunch was nice. We were a little too early for food so had a coffee while we waited and then had lunch with a soft drink. As the rest of Devil’s Bridge it was really quiet but the food was god and it was nice and relaxed. We then headed into Aberystwyth to do a bit of shopping and had a lazy afternoon at home.

Not a bad way to spend a Monday.
