Windsurfing with the Lurgy

Grrr… I’ve got some kind of lurgy. Headache, sore throat and generally feeling ‘bleurgh.’ Not ideal for an upcoming first attempt at a Half ironman distance race, but there’s little I can do about that. I have therefore ceased what little training I was doing to see if I can kick it. It didn’t stop me heading out for a lovely little windsurf session this morning though.

The conditions were perfect with a nice steady wind and the sun was shining. 25 knots WSW without too much swell so easy conditions and the ideal opportunity to try out my new Gun Sails 5.7m Transwave sail. It worked a treat and felt really smooth. It was ideal on my Starboard S-Type 1o4ltr and felt OK on my smaller 85ltr Naish Hybrid Freewave board too.
