Goldfinches
Goldfinches – They have to be my favourite garden bird and although we don’t get that many of them we do usually have a pair in the garden now and then during spring and summer. They are pretty spectacular but I haven’t yet taken a photo of one in the garden.
They appeared yesterday though and I did manage a quick couple of poor shots before they flew off again. It’s always good to see them, even if they are there thanks to the number of dandelions in our lawn. Hopefully, they’ll return soon and I’ll be prepared to get a better shot. However, now that I’ve put the camera in position ready we probably won’t see them again.

I have 2 pairs in my garden this year, fantastic to watch, but soooo difficult to catch on camera!
The just don’t keep still!
