Snow!!!
Well, it’s nowhere near as bad as forecast but the snow is at last coming down and it’s beginning to settle too. Not loads yet but it is snowing heavily so we could have a snow day declared anytime soon.

I’ve not long got back from a lovely early morning run. The run itself wasn’t anything spectacular – I’m still suffering with a chesty cough and as it was a cold frosty morning I decided to take it easy and stuck to a gentle jog all the way around my 6.5 mile loop, but it...
It was the last day of the school holidays for Morgan today and a chance to beat our ‘consecutive days geocaching’ record so Morgan was quite motivated to get out and find at least one cache. We left the house fairly early this morning and drove to Tan y Coed for a little walk in...
Hooray, he weekend again! Excellent, we were all off and able to have a family day out. It’s a shame that Anna has to work sometimes when Morgan is off school because Morgan and I get to go out and have fun whilst she is working – But someone has to pay the bills I suppose....
After writing a weblog post yesterday about our geocaching stats we were motivated to get out there and try to hit the 300 mark before the end of the year. The rain had stopped for the first time in months so we got kitted up and drove into Aberystwyth to try to find some caches....
Wales is known for being wet and rainy but I’ve never know it like this before. It seems to have been raining pretty much non-stop for months. Everything is sodden, the ground is saturated, low-lying areas are flooded and rivers are at bursting point. The garden is a quagmire and where it isn’t it has...
I haven’t done much training over Christmas and I’ve now got a sore throat so decided against a run today as well. Instead I went for a little windsurf session off the seafront in some moody conditions. Nicely powered with a 5m sail and some nice ramps out there too. Nothing too extreme, just a fun...
Well, after a day in the hills on Sunday and my first mountain bike ride for ages, it was time to go windsurfing for the first time in months too. Most people who know me will know that I ‘usually’ windsurf pretty much anytime there’s wind which here means most days of the year! However,...
Its been a while since I’ve been properly Mountain Biking – So long in fact that when I got my bike out yesterday it still had the race number on it from a race I did back in August – The CRC MTB Marathon in Abergavenny. It was therefore nice to get out for a little spin...
Well, yesterday was pretty wet, it rained non-stop all day with 30.8mm of rain according to the Borth and Ynyslas Weather Station. Not a record, that still stands at 55.8mm on October 1st 2006 but plenty of rain all the same.
