The Wrekin
After a couple of Days with Steve and Biddy – first in Ironbridge and then at the Commonwealth Games, we spent another night at theirs and then had to head our separate ways. Anna was off to the Isle of Man to visit her Mum so I dropped her at the station so that she could get the train to the Airport. Steve, Biddy, Daisy and I then had a quick stroll up to the top of the Wrekin in the morning sunshine.
It’s not a bad view from up there!
And that was that, the end of an action packed couple of days away. Thanks Steve and Biddy for putting us up. (or is that putting up with us!) 🙂
Although, there’s still plenty going on what with Anna in the Isle of Man, me possibly planning a last minute trip to Morocco and significant changes to our garden thanks to some ‘drastic topiary’ that’s going on next door. All the mature trees from the bottom of Dave’s garden have been removed including ones that were mostly in our garden thanks to their windswept nature. So our garden is now fully exposed to the ravages of the wind so probably won’t last long. We do have a view of the hills now though. and I did get some saplings and cuttings from Steve and Biddy while I was there, so I have some new things to plant in the garden. They won’t help with recreating the secluded, sheltered garden we used to have but if they survive they look nice elsewhere.
