Christmas Lights

The Christmas lights are up. It may be pretty dark and dreary out side but the Christmas lights always add some sparkle. We’ve gone with a similar layout to usual. We have moved the tree across a little so that it can be seen through the windows better.

I think there might be an extra set of lights around the door into the Living Room as well. This means that the Dining Room which doubles as Anna’s office at the moment feels like a Christmas Grotto. I did try to convince Anna to wear her elf onesie for her next Teams meeting but she wouldn’t do it!.

We’ve also extended the Christmas lights around the house so that they go over the front door and down to the conservatory. It’s surprising how much they light up the drive which is handy.

Here are a few of the decorations on the tree too.

We’ve had to put a few presents under the tree already as well. We usually leave this until Christmas Eve, when Santa brings them of course. However our new robot vacuum cleaner would wreak havoc with the quilted surround we put under the tree. He would also try to eat all of the cables for the lights. So, we’ve put a few present under the tree to try to keep him out!
