Great Tit 0

Great Tits

With a title like that this post will no doubt get lots of hits, but it’s not what you’re thinking! It’s just that I managed to get a photo of a bird using the water feature and it just so happened to be a Great Tit. There has been quite a few of them on...

Sweet Peas

The Sweet Peas are a little late, but at least they are adding some much needed colour to the garden.

Phew - survived 0

Surviving the Onslaught

It looks as though the garden has just about survived the recent onslaught from the approach of autumn. Everything looks a little worse for wear and most things are a little windburnt but nothing has been destroyed. Despite the onslaught the courgette plants have of course continued to supply us with a steady stream of...

Water Feature for Garden Wildlife 1

Water Feature for Garden Wildlife

Add the courgette to the cake mix 5

Chocolate Courgette Cake

Hot on the heels of our success with the Courgette Cake recipe, but still with a glut of courgettes, last night we baked some chocolate courgette cakes. They were once a gain a success, although not much good for aiding my weight loss! Here’s the recipe. 250g plain flour 375g caster sugar 65g cocoa powder...

Water Feature 6

Garden Water Feature

As you may remember, on our Anniversary day out in Welshpool, Anna and I spent more money than we had planned and came back with a water feature for the garden. We bought it from Derwen Garden Centre which was where we spent most of our day. They were all very helpful and we’re planning...
