I can’t quite believe the number of gadgets we have packed ready for our trip to New Zealand: Garmin Forerunner 910XT GPS watch and Heart Rate monitor for training with. Camera – Canon EOS 450D complete with extra battery pack, 3 lenses and various bits and pieces Camera – Pentax Optio W60 – Little waterproof compact...
Not being a seasoned traveller I’ve never had the need for any flight tracking apps on my iPad but with an impending trip to New Zealand on the horizon I thought I’d check some out and ended up using Flight+, a really clever app designed to track and manage flights all around the world. It’s really...
~ Monday Oct. 15th – Ready to Go ~ We are all packed and ready to go on the biggest trip of our lives. Packing seems to have taken a while but we are now pretty much done and just want to go today, but we have one more day of work / school before...

As you can imagine, training for, get to and competing in a World Championship event in New Zealand is an expensive undertaking. So, shortly after I qualified...
Well, yesterday was pretty wet, it rained non-stop all day with 30.8mm of rain according to the Borth and Ynyslas Weather Station. Not a record, that still stands at 55.8mm on October 1st 2006 but plenty of rain all the same.
I can’t quite remember if I’ve blogged about Strava.com before, but if not, I should have. It’s yet another website that allows you to upload your GPS data from cycling and running sessions. You can record this data on a GPS device such as my Garmin Forerunner 910XT or a GPS enabled Mobile such as...
The number of locals who have qualified for places on Team GB for either the World Triathlon Championships or European Triathlon Championships keeps growing. All Age-Group athletes of course but due to the unprecedented number of us we got together last night on a windswept village green for a photo-shoot with the photographer from the...
