Snorkelling in Borth

Me and Dad had fun this afternoon snorkelling, I got half my wetsuit on first at home  and then we drove to Borth and I got the other half of my wetsuit on. We walked down onto the beach and got into the sea the sea wasn’t that cold we could almost walk out to the reef but I asked Dad if he could tow me. When Dad and I got to the reef we started snorkelling.

It was quite murky but we still saw lots of dead crabs then we went around the side of the reef and we saw some fish. It was rough the other side of the reef and my mask was always slipping off so Dad helped me put it back on and tighten it.  We swam back round the other side and saw a crab, hermit crab and jelly fish.  Dad picked up the hermit crab to show me and it hid in its shell, but came back out again as soon as he put it back on the seabed. It then scrurried off and looked really funny. By then I was getting cold so we swam back to the beach.

When we got home Dad made me a hot chocolate while I cleaned off the masks and snorkels.

Nice to hear from you Morgan. Very jealous that you live so close to the sea, what a great day out.

Trouble is, he’s never known any different so thinks that’s just the way everyone lives! I don’t think he gets it when people come to visit and all they want to do is go to the beach.
