Anyone for Golf?

Right, I’m now officially fed up with not being able to get out on my bike or do any exercise! I’m getting fat and unfit (which can’t be good for my heart) and I’m lacking in endorphins!

I had an echocardiogram about a month ago and I’m waiting to see the consultant to hear the results from that, and it’s been about 6 weeks since my last hospital visit where I was told to take it easy. Trouble is I don’t know how easy is easy, so I’ve been doing nothing, hoping to see the consultant soon so that I can ask him some questions and see what I am and am not allowed to do.

I still have a pain in my chest / back and haven’t completely got over the cold / flu that I had at Sleepless in the Saddle, so maybe continuing to rest would be a good idea, but its driving me mad. Not helped by the fact that everyone I follow on Facebook and Twitter and on Forces-of-Nature are forever organising MTB rides!

Maybe I should take up golf!

Don’t do it, you’d just be ruining a good walk!

Although I think your suggestion was a little tongue-in-cheek anyway.

    Wasn’t it?

Apparently the consultant isn’t expecting to see me after all. he is going to write a letter to my GP though. Looks as though I shall be making an appointment with my GP soon then.

In the meantime it looks windy at the weekend so i won’t be able to resist a windsurf session, and I’m tentatively planning a MTb ride at Coed y Brenin as well.
