Chester Zoo 2015
Following our trip to Loch Lomond which was a complete success all round, we had planned to meet up with Pat (Anna’s Mum) at Chester Zoo on our way back. She had a coach trip over from the Isle of Man and we had spent the night nearby in a Premier Inn in Runcorn. We had a huge ‘all you can eat’ breakfast at the Beefeater and arrived ready to go at Chester Zoo as it opened at 10am.
The three of us started having a look around before we met up with Pat at around 11:30. As an ex-zookeeper it’s always nice to have a zoo visit and Anna, Morgan and Pat enjoyed it too. The enclosures improve all the time and the new ‘islands’ that they have were good too. This is a little more like a theme park than a zoo with boat trips around the islands but it worked well. Not all of the animals have been moved to the new islands yet but it is certainly an improvement on some of the old enclosures from which they will be moved.

It started to drizzle a bit in the afternoon but it didn’t deter us. Pat had to leave at around 5pm and bought Morgan a cuddly gibbon from the shop as she left. Anna, Morgan and I then went back in and stayed until closing at 6pm, making the most of the final few hours of our holiday.
It was then back in the car for the drive home arriving just as the sun set treating us to a sunset the likes of which you get nowhere else other than Ynyslas.
I love to read your blogs as they show just how happy you are with your life, and that’s all I could want for you all.
I’m not sure if I’ve ever been to Chester Zoo, it looks really nice x
