Back on the Bike

It’s been ages since I’ve been out on my mountain bike – 3 months to be precise as the last time I was out was the Coed y Brenin Enduro back at the beginning of October. I finally got back out there today though with a quick spin around the Summit Trail and Hippity Hop up at Nant yr Arian.
The forecast for this morning looked like the first break in the rainy weather for a while so I headed up there at around 9am and had a pleasant little ride on my own through the mist and murk. I managed to avoid the rain and felt quite warm out there too with my new socks and new winter gloves – Well, you’ve got to try out your Christmas presents as soon as possible after the big day.
I got to play with another of my presents when I got home as well. After cleaning my bike off I put it on my new work stand for some tinkering. Probably a good thing as my back was a little sore before leaving the house and the ride didn’t really help, so the last thing I needed was to be bending over my bike to tinker with it.
