More Geocaching in Wales

Another windless day here on Sunday so the windsurf demo day wasn’t likely to be much fun so we headed off for a family day out and some geocaching in Wales.

First stop was Llanrhystud for a walk along the beach to the interesting Craiglas Limekilns and the first cache of the day. Getting there took a little whioe due to Morgans insistence to climb over every stile himself, but the sun was shining so the walk along the coast was nice. The cache was easily found.

Cache number two was a quick cahce and dash by the side of the A487 on the way to Aberaeron. Once in Aberaeron we had a picnic near the river and I ran off to find two more caches in the woods. We then drove of for anothr cache and dash near to Llanaerchaeron, followed by what was supposed to be a fun little cache for Morgan – a Duck Hunt along the banks of the River Aeron near Talsarn. Unfortunately Morgan fell asleep just before we got there so I went off to find the 5 little ducks that gave me the co-ordinates for the final cache on my own while Morgan and Anna had a sleep in th car.

By now the rain was on its way so we headed home (with a stop for an ice cream) after a successful day with 6 new caches under our belts.

Forgot the camera again though so here is an old photo of Llanrhystud.

    Hi Alan,
We completed a few more geocaches at the weekend too. One was a tricky micro that we couldn’t find a few weeks ago, but this time we just got lucky.

Another used a Doctor Who tardis coolbag as a container.
