Monkeys

As many will know, Morgan is a very bright, happy little boy but if there’s something he wants there’s not much you can put in his way to stop it.

4.jpgAt the moment his favourite thing is monkeys.  I’m not really sure how it all came about but he insists that his nappies have a monkey on them.  Now, papmpers do have animal pictures on their nappies and while they vary on the front until recently they nearly all had a dancing monkey on the back (any with no monkeys on at all get sent to nursery for them to deal with!).  However, someone at Pampers, probably deliberately to annoy me, has decided that there will no longer be dancing monkeys on the backs of their nappies.  In a box of 74 nappies I bought last week only 6 had a monkey on.  My big dilema is what to do now?…..nursery certainly don’t need that many nappies!

10.jpgI think we may have a solution though.  Knowing Morgan’s fondness of monkeys several of his birthday cards had monkey pictures on them so for the last couple of nappy changes I have been able to cut out the picture and sellotape it to his nappy.  This seems to suit Morgan and this morning he went off to nursery with a monkey as big as my hand (with big googly eyes) sellotaped to his nappy.  I did mean to warn the nursery staff but I forgot so they no doubt think he has very strage parents.

12.jpgUnfortunately I think that was the last birthday nappy.  I have just made some monkey stickers for Morgan from images off the internet.  Fingers crossed these are acceptable or else I don’t know what we will do tonight, unless of course he has changed his mind and now like flamingoes or something equally strange!

I knew it! No sooner have we solved the monkey issue, Morgan has changed his mind! Now he insists that his nappies have a tiger on them! Only thing in our favour is that there are slightly more tigers than monkeys in each pack of nappies. No doubt now I’ll have to make tiger stickers in the hope he decides he likes caterpillers, cows and koala bears (the otehr animals on pampers for those who don’t know!).
