Another Sunny Surprise: Our Best Solar Day Yet!

Having recently posted about the Spring that keeps on giving—where I commented on the amazingly sunny weather we’ve had and its positive impact on our solar production—we’ve now broken another record.

This time, it’s the highest daily yield since we had our solar panels installed. The previous record was 29.80 kWh, set on June 14th 2023. But yesterday, not only was that record broken—we also smashed through the 30 kWh threshold. We generated a whopping 31.15 kWh!

Solar Panel Yields and records

OK, it’s not huge in the grand scheme of things, but for a modest 4.3 kW solar array on a house in Wales, that’s pretty good going.

The figures for May are now in as well: we managed to produce 643 kWh over the month, making it our best May on record. It’s also just shy of our all-time monthly high—647 kWh, achieved in June 2023.

Monthly Yields to date (since Install)

Somehow I don’t think this will last – no doubt we’re in for a very wet and grey summer!
