Tales from a down-shifted family
- Making the most of modest means
I have a guest post for you today which includes some items from John Lewis – I hope Anna and Morgan read it as they could learn something from it. Mind you, if I took action on the first of the 12 tips ‘tackle the source’ I’d evicting the pair of them from the house!...
As we got to actually enjoy the garden a little over the weekend I thought I’d share some of it with you.
Day 4 of Summer dawned with clear blue skies and plenty of promise. Lots of work to do today though so once again it was an early start in order to fit it all in. Blogging, cleaning, vacuuming, breakfast, stretching, working on websites and then off to a local business to work on their invoicing...
As someone who has represented Team-GB in a sport and competed on an international level, I had been invited to attend the 2013 Ceredigion Sports Awards. These were held yesterday in Aberaeron to recognise sporting achievements across Ceredigion. Billed as the ‘International Awards Presentation’ there were 23 people being presented with awards. The first hive we inspected had some queen cells in. All were uncapped but had some well developed larvae in them so there was only one thing to do. The plan was to find the queen, perform...
I made it into the sports pages of the Cambrian news again. Last year it was thanks to the fact that I competed in the World Triathlon Championships in Auckland, New Zealand. This time it was thanks to winning the gold medal at the European Triathlon Championships. It was a bit of a family affair this week...
Hooray, Summer finally arrived yesterday, but it took its time coming. We had a busy day ahead of us so my day started at 5am with a bike ride. Nothing too exciting, just a couple of time around the Borth Loop, with a 14 mile Time Trial effort thrown on for good measure. Unfortunately the sun...
