Summer – Day 2

Summer finally arrived on Saturday and it was still with us on Sunday which turned out to be a glorious day. Wall to wall sunshine and temperatures just edging into the 20’s.

I started my day with a run and swim in Machynlleth followed by coffee and a bacon sandwich. By the time I got back Morgan and Anna were already in the garden with the paddling pool out. I’d mowed the lawn and tidied up the garden a little on Saturday so we were finally able to relax in the garden and enjoy it for a change.

After sitting around for a while though I got restless so Anna and I did a bee inspection. I then tried to snooze in the sunshine for a bit but it didn’t last long because as soon as I drifted off Morgan soaked me with the hosepipe. It was then time for BBQ number 2 in 2 days before settling down to catch up with the tennis from Wimbledon, the Formula 1 from Germany and the Tour de France – from France!

Summer is here and it looks set to stay.
