We were quite pleased with the progress we made in the garden this past summer, but it may have all been in vain. The recent cold temperatures may well have killed a few plants off. Some will have made it through but some are certainly looking a little worse for the ordeal. I guess we’ll...
I mentioned yesterday that we had recorded the coldest November temperature at -5.6ºC since we started recording weather here in Borth and Ynyslas with the Borth Weather Station. Well, we beat that this morning with a new low temperature of -8.3ºC. That is not only the coldest November temperature, but the all time lowest temperature too. ON top...
Just got back from driving around here and there, doing a few geocaches and such like and Ynyslas seems to be the place with the most snow around here. Odd that as being next to the sea it is usually the place with the least snow, but not this time. Delivery drivers have been saying...

Well, we had our first sprinkling of snow for the winter last night. Only a tiny bit here and temperatures were down to -1.2ºC on the weather station. Morgan was unimpressed, but Anna and I are always excited by a bit of snow. There could be a bit more on the way as well. If...
The conditions this morning looked awesome for windsurfing. A rare strong SE wind and some decent waves to give us 30 knots of cross-offshore winds and super clean, head high waves to play on. Perfect for down-the-line wave sailing and not conditions we normally get here as it’s usually cross-onshore so the waves are never...
