We’re into September, the nights are cooler, autumn is on its way and the range of moths we’re getting in the moth trap is changing to reflect this. I’ve just been out for a stroll on the beach to check the surf. There wasn’t much surf but it was a gorgeous autumnal morning. Cold with a light easterly wind and clear blue skies. I couldn’t resist taking some photos of the patterns in the sand.
It looks as though things are calming down on the moth-trapping front. It was pretty breezy last night and felt decidedly autumnal out there this morning, although the temperature did only drop to 14ºC it felt colder.
