Small Argent & Sable
Here’s a new moth that I missed from my moth trapping the other night. It’s a new garden record for me, a ‘Small Argent & Sable’.

I guess that you’ve seen this

Thanks Alan, I hadn’t seen that. Although, it is a little out of date now.
On a similar vein, there is a meeting of the Ceredigion Moth Group at Denmark Farm (near Lampeter) on Sept 2nd. It will start at 9a.m. and should be over by 11a.m. If it’s a fine day then Denmark Farm is excellent for butterflies and dragonflies. Refreshments will be available too.

I also saw this – for free, also at Denmark Farm
Chloe Griffiths Would like to offer limited places on a free course at Denmark Farm, near Lampeter, on Wednesday the 25th August. It’s on “How to design and make a Wildlife-Friendly Garden, runs from 10am to 4pm and will teach you what you need to know to make your own space fantastic for bees, butterflies and moths. If you’d like t…o get a place, please contact Angie Polkey on 01570 493 358 asap before it fills up!
Aha – Yes, I had heard about that because Chloe contacted me to ask for some advice on what to include in the talk!
So, it was mentioned in passing here: https://www.alananna.co.uk/blog/2010/last-nights-moths-3/
Good to see that it is going ahead and there is a date set, hope it goes well.
