Tales from a down-shifted family
- Making the most of modest means
You know me, I spend just as much time recording my training data as I do actually training. By the time I upload it to Garmin Connect, Strava and Triblogs and import it into Rubitrack, I’ve barely got time to actually analyse it! I also have to add it to my excel training diary that...
Anna and I, along with half of the Aberystwyth Beekeeping Association attending a lecture in the National Library on Wednesday. It was a lunchtime lecture so we all met up for dinner in the cafe first and then headed into the very nice lecture theatre. The lecture was titled ‘Plants for Bees‘ and was given...
Thanks to my 8 puddings after a carvery at The Marine a couple of weekends ago and then a monstrous 16 puddings at the pudding party on Sunday I seem to be getting a reputation for nno-stop eating. Maybe I should take up competitive eating instead of triathlon, I think I’d be good at that...
Here you go, proof of the now quite old shrimp that has been living in out derelict fish tank for years. He / She doesn’t know what to do with himself / herself now that there is water, light, heating and such like in the tank and will be in heaven soon once the tank...

Well, that was an unexpected surprise. I thought we did well on the pudding front last weekend with a huge carvery followed by 7 full size puddings and a slice of chocolate birthday cake, but that has been exceeded today! I had an early breakfast and then went for a run and a swim followed...
Amazon.co.uk Widgets You know me, I always have a few projects on the go, and at the weekend I started yet another! When we first built our house about 10 years ago I set up a nice planted aquarium. I don’t like to do things the ‘normal way’ so rather than have a tank with...
Whilst adding an image to a recent news post on my Website Design website I saw a gallery of images uploaded to articles over the past few years. I was struck by the way it looked so took a screenshot of it. These are of course all little snippets of designs I have produced over...
