Being Tourists

What a scorcher! It felt like summer yesterday and with Morgan off school and Anna having a day off work I decided to join them and we headed across to the beach first thing in the morning.

Morgan and I headed off in the inflatable canoe whilst Anna sat on the beach relaxing and reading her book. It wasn’t that warm, around 15ºC but there was little wind and clear blue skies which made for a nice relaxing paddle along the coast. We played around in the waves for a bit as well of course. Paddling out through the surf and getting splashed and then catching the waves back in, Morgan seemed to love this..

I then took Morgan out for a little play on his surfboard which he enjoyed. The water is still fairly chilly mind you so I didn’t let him stay in for too long as he would only have got cold. The afternoon was then spent pottering around in the garden. Lets hope this is the beginning of a long hot summer and we get many more days for playing on the beach and in the sea. You can’t beat a good family day on the beach in the sunshine.
