Good weather for the bees

Summertime

Summertime

After the late spring onslaught it looks as though the weather may have settled down for a day or two. Summer officially started on June 1st and as I write this at 7:40am on June 2nd, it is already 15.2ºC out there, the sun is shining and there isn’t a puff of wind. Usually the latter fact would have me moaning as it means no windsurfing, but my loyalties are split these days as it does at least mean that the bees will be able to get out and about collecting pollen and nectar and hopefully making some honey.

Morgan is off school as well, and Anna has the day off work so we’ll be able to enjoy a nice family day on the beach and in the garden. Who knows, we might even get the BBQ out, although doing so will almost certainly prompt a change in the weather. I’ll be keeping an eye on the Borth Weather Station to see what temperatures we can hit over the next few days.

Hmmm, it’s now 8:50am and the temperature has dropped to 14.2ºC – maybe I shouldn’t have mentioned the Barbeque word afterall!
