World Record Skinny Dip Attempt at Borth’s Square Festival

Uh oh… This won’t be a pretty sight. As part of the Square Festival’s events this year they are going to try to break the world skinny dip record with festival-goers invited to contribute to setting the record for the most people skinny dipping in the same place at the same time. Don’t go to...

Fit(ish), Fast(ish) but Fat(ish)

My training schedule hasn’t been going to badly lately. There has been the odd mishap such as accidental roast dinners rather than lunchtime swims, but I’ve generally been having two swims a week, at least two bike rides a week and so far in May I’ve been windsurfing every day that I haven’t been out...

Graze Update

If anyone was tempted by Graze the other day then I have just had a code from them that will let you try and box for free and have a second box half price. Go to www.graze.com and use the code G8QJ6D1A (only valid until Sunday 22nd March 2009) for a free box. Definitely worth...

A CO2 diet – Saving money by cutting your CO2 emissions

Regular readers will know that a while back we got an energy monitor to see just how much electricity we were using on a day to day basis. At the time it prompted us to go around switching things off standby and being a little more careful than normal. Since then things have slipped a...

A new way of ‘Grazing’

I recently came across a new website called Graze. Basically when you sign up you get a ‘Graze Box’ sent to you (at home or work) on the days you specify. The box contains a portion of fresh fruit and then 2 portions from their selection of dried fruit, nuts and seeds. The boxes are...

My parents are here this weekend so yesterday we took a drive up to Glaslyn lake for a little walk and a picnic. When I got there, to my surprise I saw someone I knew setting up to go for a kitesurf on the lake there… Totally illegal of course seeing as it is a...

Which Full-Suspension Mountain Bike

I’ve been wanting to treat myself to a full-suspension mountain-bike for a while now. Maybe it was just peer pressure and trying to keep up with the ‘Jones’s’ but there’s nothing like a nice new toy to keep the motivation u. Trouble is there’s just so much choice. For a start there’s the amount of...

100,000 miles

Well, my car is now officially run-in… It clocked 100,000 miles yesterday. Roll on the next 100,000. Of course when I post that my mountain bike has clocked 100,000 miles then that will be something to celebrate!

Jamie’s Ministry of Food Review

Some people love him and some people can’t stand him but I have to admit that I am a big fan of Jamie Oliver. I love the way he cooks, not worrying too much about about weighing everything out and substituting some ingredients if you fancy. We watched his new series where he was promoting...

Lakeland – Excellent Service as usual

It’s not often that you get excellent service from online businesses these days but sometimes there is the odd company that stands out and goes over and above the normal level of service. I treated myself to a pair of fluffy slipper complete with wheat warmers from Lakeland this Chrsitmas. Alan will dispute this as...
