Tree Sculpture on Borth & Ynyslas Beach
There are loads of planning notice signs up at the entrance to the beach here at Borth & Ynyslas for a proposed ‘Metal Cast Oak Tree’. According to the signs it will be located in the inter-tidal zone on the beach between Borth and Ynyslas (except they have spelt Ynyslas incorrectly!).
From what we’ve seen elsewhere, the ‘cast metal oak tree’ is a proposed sculpture by Taliesin artist Robert Davies. It will be called ‘Tree’ and will be about 10 metres tall with a trunk about 60cm across. It looks as though it will be a winter tree with no leaves and windswept branches shaped by the prevailing SW winds. It’ll be located inline with the ends of the groynes about a mile north of the railway station and therefore about a mile south from our house.
You can read more about it here: http://cargocollective.com/CeredigionTree/About-Tree
Not sure, really , At least it won’t be an eye sore like pylons .
Have you told them how to spell Ynyslas though
