Aber kayakers at Llandysul

I was supposed to spend the weekend kayaking with Aber Kayakers at Llandysul. I don’t think there were enough people signed up for the weekend, so it became a day trip on Sunday. That suited me as it’s only a short drive anyway and I could not only do other things on Saturday, but I could sleep in my own bed.

We all met up in Aberystwyth, sorted out boats and then headed down. The overnight winds were easing and the weather looked set to improve too. Although, just after we’d all changed the heavens opened and it poured with rain for a while. It didn’t matter too much though and we were soon all on the water for a good day paddling on the River Teifi.

I’m still new to paddling on white-water so it was nice to spend some time practising things in relatively tame waters. The rain did stop and the sun came out in the end. All in all a good day on the river and hopefully some experience was gained and some improvements made.

Here’s a quick video clip for those who missed out.
