We’ve Been Out!!!

Well, that was exciting. Anna and I left Ynyslas and drove all the way to Pontrhydfendigaid to do some Christmas shopping! That’s the furthest we’ve been from home since March by a long way.

I can’t say what we were buying as I don’t want to give anything away but it was weird being so far from home after all this time. We even stopped off in Aberystwyth to look at sofa’s and popped into M&S for some Christmas treats.

Such things wouldn’t normally be worthy of a blog post but after being confined to home for 9 months it was quite an event.

It wasn’t the nicest of days mind you, cold grey and full of mizzle – that’s misty drizzle for those who don’t know, something that this part of the world does really well.

Fortunately it wasn’t quite so mizzly first thing in the morning. It was still pretty grey as it got light but there was plenty of wind for a fun windsurf session before we went out. Nicely powered with my big 100ltr board and new (2nd hand) 5m sail.

Not a bad day considering the weather. I was supposed to do 90 minutes on the bike and a short 10 minute un as well but only did an hour on the bike by the time I got around to it..
