Borth Sea Defences 20th March 2011

We had a little walk along the beach on Sunday morning to check out progress on the sea defences. It was a grey day and the tide was farily high so we couldn’t really see much in the way of progress. The beach has been built out quite a way at the southern end of Borth and some of the rock groynes are getting bigger, but there was nothing really new to see.

It is interesting to watch as things develop though and interesting to wonder about how it will all actually look once it is finished. After that of course we then have to see if it will stand the test of time and actually work.

    Hi Al,

How are things with you guys?

All change in Borth! Wonder how this will affect the beach over the years? Something to try and jump on the windsurfer though 🙂

      Hi James,
All fine here thanks – I just hope the beach doesn’t end up like Gansey at high tide – Although, they aren’t doing anything at all at this end of the beach yet, and probably never will.

      Al.
