Ceredigion Moths – More new ones

Another good night for moths last night. Relatively warm, still and plenty of things flapping around the moth trap. I took a look before going to bed and a there were already a one new garden records for me to identify –  a very nice little ‘Common Swift’.

In the end the haul was just a nice size to be manageable but with enough to be interesting:

  • 1x Common Swift*
  • 1x Puss Moth
  • 1x Fox Moth
  • 5x Shoulder Stripe
  • 1x Dark-barred Twin-spot Carpet
  • 1x Garden Carpet
  • 1x Purple Bar
  • 1x Brimstone Moth
  • 3x Flame Shoulder
  • 1x Cinnabar*
  • 1x Double-striped Pug
  • 1x Heart and Dart*
  • 1x Foxglove Pug*
  • 2x Shuttle-shaped Dart
  • 1x Small Square-spot
  • 2x Sallow Kitten
  • 1x Brindled Pug
  • 1x Tawny Shears*
