Eureka!

We had to go to Leeds on Thursday, so whilst Anna was off doing her thing Morgan and I wandered around the City. Morgan was quite excited at the prospect of going to a big city and was pretty impressed by all the big buildings, the lights and all the people and shops. We spent most of our time in the museum though which he also enjoyed. He really liked the natural history part which I had expected but he also like the ‘olden days’ section (as he called it) and can now write his name in ancient Greek!

We stayed in a Premier Inn on the outskirts of Halifax where we had a big evening meal and a huge breakfast in the Watermill Inn next door to the hotel. So much for loosing some weight!

On the Friday (which was my Birthday) we went to Eureka! which is the National Children’s Museum. More of a science museum for children than a ‘typical’ museum with lots of hands on exhibits. We spent a few hours there and Morgan did enjoy it but really he was just a little too young as most of the displays have touch screens with written commands that he couldn’t read. It was good though and as you can see from the photos it got Morgan thinking at times.
