The Surf Skis Live to Paddle Another Day
It’s been a case of ‘so far, so good’ with the surf skis. I’ve had them both on the water for a few short paddles, as well as a paddle to Aberdyfi and back last night.
They both seem to be watertight, and the repairs have held up well. Time will tell how long they’ll last, or whether strengthening one area through repair simply creates relative weaknesses elsewhere.
So far, though, the time and money invested in repairing them have been worth it for the handful of paddles I’ve already had, so anything else from here on is a bonus. Mind you, it’s been so nice to be back out on the water that I think I’ve decided that if the repairs don’t last, I’ll be buying a new one anyway!
