A Coastal Connection: New Prints for the Bathroom

Anna and I took a little drive south last week to visit a garden centre we hadn’t been to before. It was nice enough, but the real draw was the coffee and cake—though that actually turned into lunch instead.

On the way back, we stopped by Driftwood Designs in Aberaeron to see if we could find a framed print to match the one Anna bought me when I completed the Wales Coast Path. The print, by Lizzie Spikes, is a map of Wales highlighting the different sections of the Coast Path. It’s fitting and looks great in the bathroom.

However, it did look a little lonely on its own, and we knew Lizzie Spikes had some similar pieces, so we went in search of a matching print. We found one featuring the highland areas of Wales, which complements the Coast Path print perfectly, especially as I now have plans to bag all of the Welsh Nuttalls.

While browsing, we also spotted a couple of others that caught our eye. One was a Beaufort Scale chart, which felt especially appropriate given that I’m a windsurfer and weather watcher living in one of the windiest places around. To go with it, there was a beautiful print of different cloud types. We ended up buying all three, and they’ve now found their place on the bathroom walls.
