Cafe Mor, Carew and Lawrenny

After my run along the Coast Path from Freshwater West to Rhoscrowther we still had an afternoon to play with. So, after a shower at the cottage it was back into Angle to try out Cafe Mor that I had ran past earlier.

Cafe Mor

Their website says:

Cafe Môr started life in our little blue beach shack. We then set sail in Josie June, our converted solar powered boat kitchen and now we also have our solar powered food truck, affectionally known as “Moby”.

Our passion is for great seafood, hand picked local seaweed and celebrating classic Welsh dishes, with a modern twist.

That sounded interesting to us and the food was indeed lovely. We didn’t go too sea-foody or seaweedy as we only had burgers but it had a seaweed twist and the chips came with ‘mermaids confetti’! Definitely a good choice for lunch. It was all enjoyed in the sunshine overlooking Angle Bay.

Carew Castle

We then headed off for a little drive inland to find somewhere to go for a stroll. We stopped at Carew Castle and took a walk down to the Mill House and around the Mill Pond. Not much of a walk but the entry fees to the castle were a little steep for us and all we needed was a stroll.

We then drove off to find a little woodland walk but ended up at Lawrenny Quay where we parked up and watched the world go by. We didn’t have anything planned for dinner tonight and after a large lunch didn’t need much. We therefore stopped off at Tesco in Pembroke Dock on the way home where we got some free charge for the car and some supplies for an evening in the cottage.

A good day in pembrokeshire all round.
