Family Get Together
We spent last weekend at my parents house in Gloucestershire for a Christmas family get together. Well, I say the weekend, but it was actually quite a quick visit. We headed down straight after work and school on Friday evening. Once there we had dinner at their house and then sat around chatting before heading off to bed.
Saturday morning was a relaxed one. Morgan had his hair cut (in drastic fashion!) by Kia. Anna, Trudi and my Mum went clothes shopping in Yate. Morgan and I also popped into Yate where we caught a Christmas Pikachu.
We than headed off to Airhop – The Worlds largest trampoline park where we met up with my Mum and Dad, Jason, Jennie, Megan, Harry, Charlie, Jack, Brad, Trudi, Max, Kia, Shaun and Ryder. All of the children (and me) then spent an hour bouncing on trampolines, doing flips into foam pits, battling on the battle beams, taking on the spinning arms of the Wipeout zone, playing trampoline dodge-ball and slam-dunking basketballs from trampolines!
There was then time for a few quick family photos that my Mum wanted before we headed off to Winter Stream Farm for dinner. A nice carvery for Anna and I. Finished off of course with one of their huge puddings!

I had the Mars Attack, but then helped Morgan finish off his Avon Gorge Fudge Cake and ice cream and finally helped Anna out with here delicious Lemon Roulade as well.

We then headed off to another pub to meet everyone again. We had some more photos and then went back to my parents for the evening.
We couldn’t hang around for long on Sunday morning as I had the final Cyclocross race of the year to get to in Caerphilly. We therefore headed off through the mist and murk to a muddy Caerphilly mountain. With the family visit completed, present exchanged and a big meal eaten it does mean that we are one step closer to Christmas. Morgan has finished school for Christmas, I’m off work, but there’s still lots to do on our list before the big day arrives!
It was nice to get together, thanks for making the journey down x
