A New Drive – Day 5

Day 5 of our drive transformation and the heavy machinery was out in force. Once again we couldn’t be there as we were at work, but we left salted caramel chocolate brownies out for the workmen and headed off to work.

It turned out to be a lovely sunny day for the workmen, if a little cold, but the winds were light and they got on well with the drive. Today was spent putting down a layer of finer material and whacking then rolling it in and making sure that everything sloped away from the house so that the water would drain off it well.

I quite like the timelapse video of it today as there’s plenty of activity, the shadows cast by the sun over what will be the drive are good and the music fits well too. I’ve added a few sound effects and even left it running until darkness fell too.
