Running with Morgan

Morgan seems to be quite into running at the moment. He has ‘qualified’ for the inter-schools Aberystwyth Area Cross Country race which he’ll be running next week. We’re not sure how far he has to run, probably only a mile at his age, but he seems quite keen.

He even wants to do some training for it. a little late with his race next week I know, but hopefully he’ll stick at it and we might even get him up early enough at the weekend to do the Aberystwyth Park Run! So, after school yesterday I went out for a little run with him. I say little, but it was probably quite long for him as we covered 2.6 miles. It was good though as it taught him to pace things properly and gave me a chance to test out my knee. Morgan dictated the pace and managed to negative split the run which was good, and my knee, although still sore and bruised felt fine whilst running.

Well done to Morgan, I hadn’t realised it was an inter schools cross country, when is it?

Thank you, we will be sitting home here cheering for him, sound familiar? Shame it’s not the week end that we are there

He’ll be fine as long as there are no slugs. He was practising the other day and was slowed down considerably by slugs! Fingers crossed for a dry day!
