Google+
Is Facebook Evil? Is Twitter irrelevant? Answer yes to these and maybe Google+ is for you.
The social network to rule them all.. Maybe, maybe not but if you want to keep with the cool kids then you have to give it a go. I am, but I’ve yet to make any judgement. I tried Google Buzz too but that never caught on, maybe Google+ can become all the rage.
So far it seems pretty slick but can I really manage yet another Social Network and more importantly will others bother to make the change from Facebook or add this to their daily social networking timetable? Until everyone is on it and checking it all the time then it won’t become a Facebook killer or even a competitor.
Competition is always good though and Google is only rolling this out slowly and by invite only (Thanks Andrew for my invite!). It’s certainly something to watch as Facebook can’t stay top of the pile forever – can it?
The implementation of Google+ Circles (essentially ‘groups’ in Facebook or ‘lists’ in Twitter) is nice and some of the sharing features, group messaging (Google+ huddles) and Google+ Sparks all look interesting.
