Beekeeping Equipment

Our adventures into Beekeeping continue. Regular readers will know that we currently have a bee hive on loan for 6 weeks situated at the bottom of our garden. All seems to be going quite well.

We aren’t due to start bee-keeping properly ourselves until next spring but as we were near to a bee-keeping supply shop the other day we thought we’d pop in and have a look. Whilst at Maisemore Apiaries we tried on a few beekeeping suits and some gloves and in the end decided to buy them then and there. We’re going to need them soon and having them now will not only spread the cost of setting up a little but will mean that we can wear them to any bee-keeping meetings that we go to between now and next year.

It also means I can persuade the family to be daft and dress up in them for an obligatory photo shot!
