Home and Garden Centres

Saturday in the ‘big smoke’ (or close to it) and Anna wanted to go to Ikea. It was nice day so on the way we stopped off at a couple of garden centres on the A38.

The first was Eastwood Garden Centre which was a nice, well laid out independent garden centre with nice healthy plants and a friendly feel. Morgan played on the climbing frame and swings whilst we wandered around. Next was a large Wyevale garden centre which had a typical mass produced feel to it. They ripped us off in the restaurant. Not only was the restaurant choice useless, but the prices were extortionate and they overcharged us on top of that! Needless to say we didn’t buy anything there after that and just walking around it felt as though they were out to get you!

By the time we got to Ikea my back was killing me so I wasn’t really in the mood. Despite this (or maybe becasue of it) we did manage to spend £400 on a couple of chairs for the living room!

We then headed to The Mall at Cribbs Causeway for a quick drool in the Apple Store (No iPads yet). We bought some new phones for the office in John Lewis (surprisingly inexpensive compared to elsewhere) and Anna had her compulsory visit to M&S – You can guess what she bought there.

Following this we had a family gathering at the Preview restaurant with Me, Anna, Morgan, My Mum and Dad, Jay, Jennie, Megan, Harry, Charlie, Jack, Brad, Eloise, Trudi, Matt, Kia and Shaun.

A typical day in Bristol for us it would seem.
