New Board Day Again

Don’t worry, I haven’t gone out and bought yet another board!! The JP Freestyle Wave Board that I bought last week had a little issue so I got in touch with Boardwise and arranged to swap it for something else. This meant that I spent Tuesday driving to the Midlands to take the JP Freestyle Wave back and collect something new.

I had a nice chat with Doug whilst there and we searched through the boards they had available. The 2nd hand 2021 Y26 RRD Freestlye Wave LTE that I’d seen on the website and that had apparently been put aside with my name on it was nowhere to be found. What we did find instead was a brand new 2020 Y25 RRD Freestyle Wave LTE that was the same price. Doug then threw a bit of a dilemma my way saying that I could have the ex-display 2021 Y26 RRD Freestlye Wave LTE that was in the showroom at that price as well.

Having seen them both in the flesh I actually preferred the shape of the 2020 version. I like the squared off nose and it just looked right. The new nose on the 2021 version didn’t quite look right to me. So, although the sensible option would have been to have the newer board that had been on display in the shop I actually went with the older 2020 model that was still in it’s box.

Decision made, a little more money changed hands and then the new board went into the car ready for the journey home. Back at home it was unpacked and footsraps were attached ready for the next time it gets windy.

It’s actually looking quite windy for Monday and Tuesday next week.

Wind for Monday and Tuesday

Maybe a liitle too windy for this newest RRD FSW 104 board. That’s not a problem though as I still have the new (to me) Severne Nano 87 to try out! I’m hoping Steve and Simon can join in for a session next week and maybe Alastair, Diane and Chris too. It could be quite busy here for the first real blow of autumn.
