Sports Day

It was that time of year again this week – time for the annual Sports Day at Morgan’s school. For once, it was actually held on the day that it was scheduled for and wasn’t postponed due to the weather. The format was the same as ever, but now that Morgan is in year 5 things were a little more competitive.

Morgan did well though, coming 1st in the obstacle race, was on the podium for the egg and spoon race and the sack race and was just pipped to the post by milliseconds in the Sprint. He was pleased with that though as his friend who just beat him in the sprint was expected to beat him easily and apparently even told Morgan that he thought it was a dead heat and he should have got joint 1st with him. It was nice to see them shaking hands after the race though.

The school has decided that we aren’t allowed to publish photos of the event anywhere though, so rather than the usual action shots from Sports Day, here’s an arty photo from the obstacle race which I’m sure is OK for publishing.
