Time to Evacuate – Again

As flood wardens we’ve just been told to inform residents to evacuate their homes again. here’s the official statement:

NRW will be issuing a flood warning.  We have also been advised by Ceredigion County Council that the expected local conditions and high winds will be a problem around tomorrow mornings high tide at 8.41 a.m.  They anticipate that the effects may be the same as the January 2014 overtopping and flooding.

They therefore advise that people in premises at risk should relocate before high tide (approx 6.30 a.m.) until well after high tide.  The Youth Centre on Clarach Road, Upper Borth will be open as a rest centre to relocate to from 7 am tomorrow.

Flood Wardens will be given this information to contact residents in their area, please advise your neighbours.

Move family, pets and valuables to a safe place.  Turn off gas, electricity and water supplies if safe to do so.  Put flood protection equipment in place.
