Earl Grey Tea Bread

And today’s “Cake of the Day” is a delicious Earl Grey Tea Bread smothered in butter.

Made with soft juicy mixed fruit soaked overnight in earl grey tea and treacle. The flavour of the super strong earl grey tea shines through the rich fruity bread and the treacle adds depth to the loaf. Tea Bread (or tea cake as we called it) was always one of my favourites when my Mum cooked it but this twist on it is equally as tasty. I could eat it all day long!

Not only am I enjoying the baking and subsequent eating of these cakes, but the food photography is fun too.
