MTBing at Nant yr Arian

Morgan was at home with me again today so we had a morning of MTB action planned. We first had to collect my car from the garage where it had been having some surgery to get it through the MOT:

  • New exhaust centre section
  • New Tail Pipe
  • New brake pipes
  • New brake fluid
  • New Anti-roll bar bushes
  • MOT

and a cool £306 later and I had my car back with a full 12 month MOT – and more importantly brakes that work!

The bikes were on Anna’s car as we’d used that to get to the garage so she took my car to work and Morgan and headed up to Nant yr Arian. We paid to park in the car park and heded off around the Pendam Trail.

Morgan had done time Italian Job section once before with a friend but was a little wary of it as he had fallen off on it and hurt himself so this was the first time he was doing it with me. He was a little tentative at first but soon got into it. Here is is doing the Italian Job section.

My GoPro then stopped working so I don’t have any other footage of it but we did the whole of the Pendam Trail and I was pretty impressed by Morgan’s choice of line by the end of it. Back at the car and we got changed and headed to the Visitor centre for a well earned hot chocolate and flapjack. We had planned to meet my parents, who were travelling up from Gloucestershire for the weekend in the Visitors Centre and it wasn’t long before they arrived. We then had some more food and cups of tea before heading home.

Another good day during the Half Term holidays.
